The Helpman product range consists of top-quality air coolers and aircooled condensers, mainly for the industrial market. Helpman heat exchangers have been manufactured since the beginning of last century. These heat exchangers are used all over the world for cooling, freezing and air conditioning plants. To help you to make the right choice from our broad range of supplies, Alfa Laval provides a state-of-the-art selection program: HelpmanSelect.

A pleasure to work with
The new program comes in no fewer than 14 languages (Arab, Chinese, Danish, German, English, Spanish, French, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Serbian, Swedish and Finnish). For each module a complete selection is shown fully in one screen, which creates a peaceful feel and makes the program a pleasure to work with. It is also easy to make your own selection by calculating or adding to the selection. The integrated module for cold room calculation has a simple and 'non-academic' layout. This makes it possible to quickly make a reliable cold room calculation for cooling or freezing applications. The program features 4 product selection modules & a spare part module:

Many refrigerants & brines
You can select from a large number of different refrigerants. HelpmanSelect offers a choice from R404a, R507, R134a, R22, R717 and R407c (only for condensers). An extremely large number of different brines are used in refrigeration engineering. All traditional and new-generation secondary refrigerants are included in HelpmanSelect, which also includes the option to enter a brine percentage yourself.

Selection options
HelpmanSelect offers many options to influence the selection. Air coolers can be selected by frost layer thickness, humidity level and refrigerant liquid temperature, for instance. The condenser module can be used to calculate sub-cooling circuits, and you can calculate a brine sub-cooler for dry coolers.

Complete printout
Many output data that clients have asked for have been added to the HelpmanSelect. A number of examples include air outlet temperature, the thermal safety device settings, the fan capacity, complete dimensional drawings and – for electric defrost – the number of defrosting elements and the accompanying defrosting capacity. 

Other features
All selected products are displayed with gross prices. The user can enter his own discount structure. Finally, the program has active links to the Helpman website for the provision of additional product information (photos, product specifications, technical documentation, etc.).
